Akinbode, also known by his enslaved name of Jordan is a former slave of Selah and Anna Strong. In 1777, after winning a fight against Titus, Akinbode became a Queen's Ranger under the command of Robert Rogers. After Rogers lost command of the Queen's Rangers, Akinbode became second-in-command under John Graves Simcoe, who had been given command of the Queen's Rangers after Rogers.

Akinbode eventually left the Queen's Rangers, with Simcoe later asking Abigail where he had gone to.
